NVDA Direction Algorithm Dashboard Walkthrough - Where You See It All

Does the NVDA currently have enough strength and confirmation to make a meaningful move?

This dashboard is a real-time trading dashboard for NVDA, and individual stocks in upcoming updates. It is designed to monitor the underlying strength of the instrument, receive and interpret live market data, calculate volume and momentum scores, and identify which setups are the best for long or short trades. The page combines RVF, VDI, MA, and ORES into a single Trade Probability Score, while also showing live alerts and news.

Big picture: how the dashboard works

Think of the dashboard in 4 simple layers:

Layer 1: Frontend display

This is the page the user sees. It contains:

  • indicator cards
  • score section
  • live alerts feed

Layer 2: Indicator processing

The dashboard receives incoming data and updates these 4 core indicators:

  • RVF
  • VDI
  • MA
  • ORES

Layer 3: Final scoring

Those indicators are normalized, weighted, and combined into one overall score and probability reading. That final score helps determine long or short bias.

Main sections of the dashboard

A. Parameter cards

B. Indicator cards

There are 4 main indicator panels:

  • RVF
  • VDI
  • MA
  • ORES

C. Score card

This shows:

  • total score
  • probability bar
  • long conditions
  • short conditions
  • score interpretation

D. Live alerts feed

Shows live news and alerts connected to the active stock and relevant market topics.

🧠 THE 4 INDICATORS EXPLAINED SIMPLY

NVDA Direction combines four probability parameters to help members understand what is happening beneath the price action:

  • RVF (participation)
  • VDI (displacement)
  • MA (acceleration)
  • ORES (opening expansion)

These indicators are designed to work together rather than being interpreted independently.

RVF = Relative Volume Factor

This shows how strong the current trading volume is compared to normal volume conditions.

The NVDA Direction thresholds are:

  • Gray: below 0.80
  • Red: 0.80 – 1.09
  • Yellow: 1.10 – 1.39
  • Green: ≥ 1.40

Easy meaning

  • RVF < 0.80 = insufficient participation
  • RVF 0.80 – 1.09 = developing / caution
  • RVF 1.10 – 1.39 = elevated participation
  • RVF ≥ 1.40 = strong participation

What to teach users

RVF helps answer:

“Are enough traders participating for this move to matter?”

For NVDA, stronger RVF generally provides greater confirmation that a directional move has meaningful participation behind it.

VDI = VWAP Displacement Index

This measures how far price is from VWAP relative to ATR.

The NVDA Direction levels are:

  • BULLISH: VDI ≥ +1.0
  • MILD BULL: VDI > +0.5
  • BALANCE: VDI ≤ +0.5 and above -0.5
  • MILD BEAR: VDI ≤ -0.5
  • BEARISH: VDI ≤ -1.0

Easy meaning

VDI helps answer:

“Is price meaningfully above or below VWAP?”

Simple rule

  • Positive VDI = bullish displacement
  • Negative VDI = bearish displacement
  • VDI near zero = price is closer to VWAP / balanced
  • Larger absolute VDI = stronger displacement

For NVDA Direction, a directional VDI reading becomes more meaningful when it remains established rather than appearing as a brief spike.

MA = Momentum Acceleration

This shows whether momentum is increasing or decreasing.

The indicator compares:

  • current 5-minute return
  • previous 5-minute return
  • the resulting acceleration value

Easy meaning

MA helps answer:

“Is momentum getting stronger or weaker?”

Simple rule

  • MA > 0 = accelerating upward
  • MA < 0 = accelerating downward

MA should be interpreted together with VDI and RVF.

A positive MA by itself does not necessarily mean NVDA is in a high-quality bullish environment. It becomes more useful when price displacement and participation confirm the same direction.

ORES = Opening Range Expansion

This measures how strong the opening range is versus its recent normal behavior.

The NVDA Direction thresholds are:

  • High Institutional: ORES ≥ 1.30
  • Normal: ORES 0.70 – 1.29
  • Compressed: ORES < 0.70

Easy meaning

ORES helps answer:

“Did NVDA open with weak energy, normal energy, or strong initiative?”

Simple rule

  • ORES < 0.70 = compressed opening conditions
  • ORES 0.70 – 1.29 = normal opening expansion
  • ORES ≥ 1.30 = high institutional opening expansion

A high ORES can indicate that meaningful expansion occurred early, while a compressed ORES suggests that the opening environment may provide less directional information.

🧠 HOW THE SCORE WORKS

The NVDA Direction dashboard combines:

  • VDI normalized
  • MA normalized
  • RVF normalized
  • ORES normalized

Then it applies weights.

Default weights:

  • VDI = 30%
  • MA = 20%
  • RVF = 20%
  • ORES = 30%

Beginner explanation

The score is like a team vote:

  • each indicator gets a vote
  • some indicators get more weight
  • the final score tells you how strong the total setup is

The goal is to avoid relying on one indicator alone. A strong NVDA setup is created when multiple parameters are supporting the same directional move.

What LONG and SHORT mean here

The NVDA Direction dashboard checks multiple conditions before highlighting a direction.

The goal is not simply to identify whether NVDA is moving up or down. The dashboard looks for direction + displacement + momentum + participation before treating a move as actionable.

LONG idea

It looks for:

  • TPS > 0.50

  • Preferred: TPS > 0.65

  • price above VWAP

  • VDI > +0.5 establishing bullish displacement

  • Preferred: VDI ≥ +1.0 for stronger bullish displacement

  • MA > 0 confirming bullish acceleration

  • RVF ≥ 1.10 showing elevated participation

  • Preferred: RVF ≥ 1.40 for strong participation

  • ORES ≥ 0.70

  • Preferred: ORES ≥ 1.30 for high institutional opening participation

The strongest LONG conditions occur when these signals align during the primary 10:00–11:30 AM ET trading window.

SHORT idea

It looks for:

  • TPS > 0.50

  • Preferred: TPS > 0.65

  • price below VWAP

  • VDI < -0.5 establishing bearish displacement

  • Preferred: VDI ≤ -1.0 for stronger bearish displacement

  • MA < 0 confirming bearish acceleration

  • RVF ≥ 1.10 showing elevated participation

  • Preferred: RVF ≥ 1.40 for strong participation

  • ORES ≥ 0.70

  • Preferred: ORES ≥ 1.30 for high institutional opening participation

The strongest SHORT conditions occur when the bearish signals align during the primary 10:00–11:30 AM ET trading window.

🧠 Simple way to think about it

LONG:
Price is above VWAP → VDI confirms bullish displacement → MA confirms acceleration → RVF confirms participation → TPS confirms the overall setup.

SHORT:
Price is below VWAP → VDI confirms bearish displacement → MA confirms acceleration → RVF confirms participation → TPS confirms the overall setup.

TPS > 0.50 = trade consideration
TPS > 0.65 = higher-quality setup

The dashboard is designed to help members avoid reacting to an isolated NVDA price move and instead wait for multiple parameters to confirm the same directional idea.

No-brainer workflow for any stock

Here is the easiest training flow:

  1. Read RVF
    Ask:
    Is volume weak or strong?
  2. Read VDI
    Ask:
Is price meaningfully above or below VWAP?
  3. Read MA
    Ask:
Is momentum speeding up or slowing down?
  4. Read ORES
    Ask:
Did the stock open with initiative or compression?
  5. Read the final score
    Ask:
    Is the score above 0.65?
    What color is the score?
    What probability is shown?
  6. Check LONG and SHORT boxes
See which side has better alignment.
  7. Check the live alerts feed
See whether news is helping or hurting the move.
